I was watching the Johnny Depp film Ninth Gate which is a bit of a slow burner and it made me curious about the different depictions of Hell.
I found this great project on iO9 where someone has created the
Nine Circles of Hell in Lego
It is worth going to the explicit pictures. They are not that bad and I am not quite sure why they censored it…

What not to watch before a routine hospital op

Having just gone into hospital for a small operation on my knee I was looking for some good hospital-based films. I found this classic from 1978 with everyone’s favourite geriatric actor, Michael Douglas.
The trailer is excellent and really makes me wonder why there aren’t more like this anymore. I am still amazed by how Michael Douglas still looks really old even at the beginning of his career.
Look out for the unforgettable Michael Douglas sex face at 1:59. He was clearly working on this grimace for years prior to his seminal performance in Basic Instinct. Really sexy!
